On this Contractor Controlled Insurance Program in Brooklyn , John with his Project Team, made sure all employees who worked on the site received a site orientation. With weekly safety meetings, strict compliance standards on the site and periodic training, the team ran a site that ranks below national average in accidents. 

John’s team tracked all accidents, kept an incident log for the entire site and kept a tally of the man hours to do statistically analysis of trends.

There were 10 OSHA recordable injuries from November, 2006 to October, 2007 for a Total Case Incident Rate of 4.5.  The national average for residential construction is 5.0 for a reduction of 10%.

This superior effort deserves consideration for the Charlie LaBette Hardhat Award.
