The Related Companies selected Plaza Construction Corporation to be
the Construction Manager for this new 22-story mixed-use luxury residential
tower with retail space and below grade parking garage.
World renowned architects Gwathmey Seigel & Associates, in collaboration
with Ismael Leyva Architects, has designed the building consisting
of 39 luxury condominium apartments which vary in size from 1,500 -
1,600 SF for two bedroom, 2,300 - 3,200 SF for three bedroom and 4,000
SF for the four penthouse apartments.
The apartments feature sprawling open living spaces with a floor to
ceiling glass exterior wall. The drywall ceiling throughout the residential
portion of the building house the mechanical systems distribution,
fed by two highly efficient gas fired absorption chiller/
heaters housed on the mechanical roof. The building's unique design
required the precise coordination of structural elements to achieve the
curved concrete floor slab edges which receive the curtain wall facade,
consisting of a panelized glass and zinc curtainwall system.
