Plaza Construction Corporation was hired as the Construction Manager for the new Hub Retail and Office Center. Related Retail LLC is developed this 170,000
square foot retail and office development which is situated on approximately three acres of land in The Hub neighborhood of the Bronx. The Property, also
known as “Bronxchester Urban Renewal Site 12”, is approximately one mile east of Yankee Stadium and Boro Hall.
The Hub is a long established commercial district in the Bronx. The Hub, named for the intersection of multiple streets, is one of the most visible and
vibrant retail locations in the Bronx and is supported by multiple subway and bus mass transit options. The tenants of the Center include the New York City
Department of Finance, Staples, Rite Aid and Forman Mills. The Project also included an additional 18,000 square feet of retail located on the ground floor
of the Center’s 260-space parking garage.
The $56 Million development project will restore the glory days of The HUB, when it was a retail destination for shoppers from around New York.
