Isamu Noguchi Garden and Museum

Plaza Construction Corporation was selected as Construction Manager
to perform remedial work to the Isamu Noguchi Garden and Museum.
Exterior work included excavation and foundation waterproofing
repairs, masonry repair, caulking and window glazing, roof repair, and demolition & installation
of new concrete sidewalks and interior garden concrete walks, as well as mold abatement.
Interior repairs included:
» framing and drywall
work
» electrical relocations
» doors & hardware
» wood flooring
» concrete floor grinding
and finishing.
» Elevator / mechanical
systems repairs.
The fast-track two
month schedule required
close coordination with
museum curators and art
handlers.
All work was performed during the exhibition set up and extra care was
required to protect all of the previously installed sculptures.
