JERSEY CITY, NJ – (June 16, 2022) More than 140 golfers and volunteers participated in CCA’s second Tri-State Area Charity Golf Invitational on June 13, 2022, at the prestigious Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey.
The tournament raised more than $240,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County (BGCHC), which works to enable young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
The tournament was followed by a dinner and awards ceremony. Strategic Capital Chief Development Officer Phillip Gesue extended gratitude on behalf of CCA companies to clients, subcontractors, vendors and volunteers who supported the charitable event.
BGCHC CEO Gary Greenberg said the organization appreciates the gift and remark and accepted the donation check on behalf of the organization.
“CCA is a company that came to this country when China and the US established their diplomatic relations around 40 years ago,” Huang Ping, consul general of China in New York, said in his keynote speech during the dinner. “In this four decades, CCA has been here, making a lot of contributions to the local development. In the meantime, they care about the community.”
On behalf of the Chinese consulate, Ambassador Huang congratulated all the people for their participation and thank them for their support.
“I see a lot of developers around our country, a lot of people make promises, a lot of people go through the approval process, a lot of people don’t deliver on what they say they will be going to do. But partner with China Construction, you don’t have that challenge,” said Steven Fulop, Jersey City Mayor. “We appreciate that on a local level.”
BGCHC is an organization that has been at the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social and family circumstances for over 126 years. The Golf Invitational is a continuation of the company’s efforts to assist the local community, especially those in need during these difficult times.
