Real Estate Weekly - Chinese developer tops out tallest apartment building in NJ
Press - September 28, 2018
China Overseas America has topped out 99 Hudson at a record 900 ft.
The new 79-story luxury condominium will have a total of 781 apartments when it opens last 2019 when it will officially become the tallest building in New Jersey, and the third tallest residential condominium building in the United States.
Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop called the topping out “a milestone for Jersey City”.
Cindy Xu, chairwoman of China Overseas America, the US division of China Overseas Holdings, said in a media release earlier this year, “We selected Jersey City based on its developing reputation as a centre for arts and culture, its proximity to some of the largest financial institutions in the world such as Goldman Sachs and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and its potential for long-term economic growth.”
Work on the façade, which features Jura Beige limestone sourced from Germany and floor-to-ceiling glass, has already taken shape.
99 Hudson will offer studios, one, two- and three-bedroom homes ranging in size up to 2,500s/f, and currently priced from $700,000 to more than $4 million.
Homes will have double-glazed, insulated floor-to-ceiling glass windows, five inch wide oak flooring, high-performance, energy efficient heating and cooling systems, white lacquer kitchen cabinetry imported from Pordenone, Italy, a suite of Bosch appliances and Kohler fixtures.
Some 65,000 s/f of indoor and outdoor amenities includes an off-street porte-cochere, 24- hour concierge, a residents’ lounge, fitness center, dry sauna, wet lounge, dry lounge and treatment rooms, and outdoor amenities including the largest swimming pool in Jersey City, dining areas with BBQ grills, children’s playground, a dog run, and much more.
