A construction firm with offices in Washington, D.C., New York and Miami has opened its first location outside of a major metropolitan market in Tampa. 

Plaza Construction set up a small office in downtown Tampa in December - one with three employees, inside the Industrious co-working space in the SunTrust Financial Centre. But the company is looking for more office space and employees, gearing up to capitalize on the construction surge in the Tampa Bay region, said Todd Fultz, who oversees the Tampa office.
