Data Center Development
The Data Center consisted of two phases. Phase 1 included a 7.5 MW Data Center, Loading Dock and an Office Building for 200 people (70,000 SF). Phase 2 included an additional 12.5 MW Data Center. The office building is CMI’s “flagship” facility for North America. The Data Center was provided with redundant power so each low voltage substation supports the IT equipment in both 2N and N+1 distributed configuration.
The total facility is approximately 287,000 SF with a 9,000 SF substation enclosure. The Data Center is two-stories and the Office Building is five-stories high. Phase 1 is 161,000 SF and Phase 2 is 135,000 SF. The structure will accommodate 4,000 IT equipment racks with an average loading of 5 kW/rack. Continuous Cooling was provided to avoid thermal runaway during transitions to/from generator power and Power Utilization Effectiveness (PUE) of less than or equal to 1.23.
Phase 2 consisted of all physical spaces with fit-out and infrastructure for approximately 60% of the data halls or approximately 12.5 MW IT load (facility will be planned for the full end state configuration of 20 MW IT load).
Off-site utilities including potable water, sanitary sewer, telecom, fire, water and natural gas was received at the site boundary for distribution through-out the site.
