Greenwich West
Plaza Construction was selected to erect a 30-story residential building in the western area of Soho known as Hudson Square. The 290-foot-tall condominium development will have 167 apartments plus 2,800-square-feet of retail space on the ground floor along with a 34-space parking garage. The exterior of the building will be masonry with picture-framed windows to give the building European detailing. The exterior wall assembly will be highly insulated and constructed to provide higher than usual sound reduction. The heating and cooling will be managed by a Variable Refrigerant Flow system (VRF). This is the quietest residential system available on the market to date. With a terminal unit in each room, the tenants will have complete control of their environment. For the interiors, the goal is to open-up the apartments by moving kitchens and closets to the sides, allowing as much natural light as possible into the living spaces.
