The renovations to this 1940s Miami Beach hotel took place under a phased permit over a 12-month period while keeping the existing facility functional. This historic building was renovated to modernize the finishes and restore the hotel to its original appeal. A total of 32 cabana rooms, 20 in the east building and 12 in the west, were completely rebuilt. The exterior modifications include structural remediation, stucco, and balcony slab repair, the windows were also replaced. The jobsite’s “zero lot line” made equipment deliveries difficult, Plaza worked extensively to ensure a smooth delivery process. Workers were also tasked with completing FPL vault revisions, crews installed new feeders extending more than 150’ from the building’s entry to the renovated cabanas. Plaza worked alongside the Historic Preservation Board to maintain historic pieces through the completion of the project.
