Marquis Hotel & Condominium
This mixed-use facility is located in Miami’s downtown entertainment district. The building reaches up to 67 stories tall and includes 362 luxury condominiums, and an 11-level parking garage, and street-level retail and restaurant spaces. The Marquis was built on less than an acre of land and sits adjacent to a major interstate, the Metro Rail, and neighboring occupied buildings. These variables required field crews, reaching up to 600 members, to carefully orchestrate each phase of the project. The massive structure sits 90’ below the water table and is supported by 7,600 cubic yards of concrete, 120 piles, and 78 caissons reaching 130’ deep. At the time of its conception, this project was named the third tallest building in Florida and also earned the title “Project of the Year”.
